The Metro Emergency Medical Services is currently receiving applications for Emergency Care Practitioner Student positions as well as for other qualification levels.

 People wishing to apply must fufill the following criteria:

• Passed grade 12
• Be in possession of a code 10 driver's license (code 08 required for ECP-Student positions) 
• Be physically fit
• Have a genuine passion for people
• Be a South African Citizen

The Metro Emergency Medical Services does not sponsor non-South African Emergency Care personnel. Foreign practitioners in possession of a South African work permit are expected to apply to the Health Professions Council of South Africa for assessment and accreditation.
